Geocaching is a wonderful way to enjoy going to the woods, hiking and adding the fun of finding hidden treasures. No, not real treasure, but trinkets and hidden items. This cache is great because it has something to look at. Notably, the old miner’s cabin foundation and some walls he built. There are two videos […]
I just installed a dash cam today and the first test was a short drive from the Ben Lilly Trailhead on Hwy 15 north of Pinos Altos to the Cherry Creek Campground. I intended to go further, but rain set in.
I took a walk with the camera this morning and shot the wall art around the town. Created a video, colorful and real Silver City.
Duke, my Aussie, and I spent an hour or so today at Bear Canyon Lake near Mimbres, NM. It’s a beautiful place, with some camping space and great fishing they tell me. Check out this video, and watch till the end to see the most amazing century plant I’ve ever seen.

The Tour of the Gila Bike Race is 5 days of serious biking in and around Silver City, NM. It was my first experience with the race as a bystander in 2017. I took some photos of the in-town race on a really nice day weather-wise. I couldn’t find a count of entrants, but it […]
Tent camping in the Silver City, NM area is an adventure, if for no other reason than because the weather can be unpredictable. It is Saturday evening, May 5th, and I’m in the tent with the heater already running.
